About Me

Here are a few things about me

I started featuring Adelaide and South Australian sites many years ago and introducing people [generally retail stores  in busy streets] to the concept of a web site - starting with  a couple pages on a sub domain [domain costing then was not insignificant]. See the now totally out of date and obsolete - adelbiz.com.

We did this and many others with a group of people interested in web design in the 90's, using flash to reduce download time.

Everyone has moved on since then and I concentrated on running  jvcomputers.com.au, hoping to get back to this when I retired, so that my hopes of showcasing streets of Adelaide, favorite suburbs, and regional towns, would once more continue[I have multiple domain names that feature suburbs - streets and regional names] .

Time has moved on, I have closed the retail store, but still look after all my older clients from home. Maybe I will get to populate these sites in the future again.

Over the years I took a lot of photographs of regional areas like the Flinders Ranges, country towns, Adelaide  and suburban shops [main streets] and featured them on sites bearing the region, town or street name.  With many changes in hosting companies over the last few years most of these have lapsed and need to be resurrected.

In my  time as JV Computers has seen many technological changes that came faster and faster - obsoleting parts within a very short time. I have sent skips of parts to landfill - before electronic recycling became generally available. Now a number of people hanker for the old times and have fun restoring or building old computers. I thought it right to grab some images of parts of old before they go to recycling. I will try to add this to this website as I can.
